The Doman people are free, yet what kind of life can one live amongst ruin? The path to freedom is long and winding. First step, liberation. Then, rebuilding, What will follow next, I wonder?
Whatever it may be, the Doman people shall endure it together.
On the topic of enduring, it seems the Imperials wish to parlay with us. That is as much as I know of the matter, but they seem to wish to negotiate. To what end, I do not know, but I'd sooner welcome an adder into my own bed than talk to one of those
beasts.
I must trust in Lord Hien's wisdom and judgement to navigate this, pit of vipers. At the very least I can rest in the knowledge that Mistwalker is never more than a step behind him. That, the Garleans can rely on, should they attempt anything underhanded.
Van Argus yet eludes us. The Shinobi are hard at work tracking the trail of the fleeing Legions from the Far West, but three months is a long time. I must consider the possibility that I had, failed in my mission.
The taste is bitter, familiar. Just like before. Is this all I'm worth?
