Friday NightCalled in sick from work last night. I was having one helluva time trying to stay awake, practically having narcoleptic fits, presumably from the COVID-19 vaccine. Can't really work when I'm like this.
So off and on I just played some Guild Wars 2, doing my dailies and stuff. I also tried making a video of a world boss kill, but my computer decided it didn't want to do that, and turned my run into a slide show because, reasons.
SaturdaySOOOO glad I haven't drunk any pop in many many years! So, this time, I decided to do something totally different today. I decided to stream a new-ish game called Just Die Already, a geriatric-themed sandbox game where you just run around and destroy stuff (or get destroyed yourself lol). There's also a (lol!) "bucket list" of achievements that you have to accomplish as well. Made by the creators of
Goat Simulator, it also has ragdoll-style physics, which takes some serious getting used to (I'm used to games like Grand Theft Auto & Destroy All Humans, where the physics are, for lack of a better word, normal). But overall I like it, but I'm not sure where I'd be able to squeeze this game in my schedule though. Hopefully I'll figure it out.
And the records I played today were:
Devo - Oh No. It's Devo!
MC5 - Kick Out the Jams
Joe Satriani - Surfing with the Alien
Saturday NightJust did my usual Guild Wars 2 thing, doing my open-world and crafting dailies, as well as a few world bosses. I'm also considering, at least on my nights off, no longer streaming this game during the evening, instead streaming something different during that time, and just doing the daily stuff in gw2 off-stream.
SundayMy all-time favorite win pose. Not the best GIF, but it was the best I could make in this game ie. I had to take what the game gave me. :(>Real good session today. This time, I played a 2D fighter called
Shaolin vs. Wutang, one of my all-time favorites, alongside The Black Heart and Footsies (my all-time favorite 2D fighter). The game has motion inputs, which I don't care for. But luckily, there's only 2, and they apply to
ALL characters (lots of other games have different inputs for different characters, making learning all the characters a real pain in the butt). Or here! To make this easier, here's the move list:
And something else I found out recently: Like The Black Heart, most of this game was made by
ONE PERSON! Holy shit! But one drawback to this game though - and it's a huge one - is
Loads and Loads of Loading! Oftentimes the loading takes longer than the actual match itself, like it's being played on a Commodore 64 or something. Yeah, pretty damn bad.
-_-But nevertheless I'll probably stream this game again tomorrow, unless I have a change of heart or something.
MondayAnother good session today. Played some more Shaolin vs Wutang. And man, the arcade mode in this game takes forever! I think you have to fight 15-20 opponents in order to complete it, that's a long slog right there.
:O>And also, you can watch some CPU vs CPU battles too. You can even set up a tournament format in Shaolin vs Wutang doing this. Kinda cool! Great when I need a break (or when AFKing, so people can have something to watch while I'm away. A demo game also plays when you sit in the main menu for too long, which is both good and bad).
Oh, and before I forget,.....
....I saw this video, consisting of all the real-life martial artists that the in-game characters are based on. Pretty neat-o.
:)>But okay, time to call it a night.
<Take care>, guys. And have yourselves a good night/day.
