Aeon walked me out of the dungeon slowly. To my surprise their were many people awaiting us in the main hall. All of them barring our nations symbol on their armor. This was a resistance, one loyal to Ala Mhigo and it's people. Ilberd approached us and Raubahn took to his side. "My Lady of Light, tis time you find leave Ala Mhigo. We will take the front and distract the enemy. However we can only give you so much time, you Must hurry." Ilberd asserted his position to me.
Letting go of Aeon to gain my balance, I looked to Raubahn and hugged him, and then Ilberd. "Thank you, both of you. I know not when we shall next meet, but when that day comes let it be Glorious!" They both nodded before turning around and looking upon each other "For White Eyes" they said together as they rushed out the gate with some fifty resistance soldiers.
Aeon and I ran the other way quickly. "Where is Scarlette?" I asked with worry. "Shes with your parents, they are awaiting our arrival." I felt an amazing amount of relief, until we approached their home to see Garlean Soldiers awaiting the outside! "N-NO!" Looking at Aeon my heart had sunk, this was a set up! Unsheathing my blade and shield I rushed them with my regained power and cut through the guards at the door. Trying to force the door open I heard from behind several footsteps approaching us.
Looking behind me I saw more and more soldiers approaching the house. Aeon unsheathed his blade letting it's sharp edge fall to the ground. "Go my love, I shall take care of these fools. Get Scarlette and run, do Not look back. I will accompany you as soon as I am able." He smiled at me and rushed at them cutting them and using his chains to make explosions. I kicked the door off the hindges and then blasted it apart with my light beam.
Inside I began to sense the entire house. Walking hesitantly I quickly stumbled upon a body. Tears fell from my eyes as I felt the face of my father. Looking around I could see another body at the stairs, lifeless. I looked away knowing it was my mother. Whispers, now getting louder as I approach. "Just bloody kill the little wench! She'll be hung like her parents soon as we kill them as well." "She's a bleeding Child! I'll not have that on me!" "You're a soldier of the Empire, you have been given your orders" I could hear to men arguing, and then the sniffling of Scarlette.
Rushing in I stabbed one through the back as the other tried to run he did not make it far, cutting his head from his body, he fell lifeless to the ground. "Mu-Mummy?!" Scarlette looked up to me, she must have been a mess of emotions by now. "It's okay sweetie" I kneeled down and let more tears fall from my eyes as I hugged her close. "Come on, let me carry you, we have to leave, Now." She let me pick her up as I approached the back door I looked back to my parents body sites. "I'm so sorry" I tried to fight my tears as we ran out the door and headed to the streets.
Running, so much running and then, the Garlean solders were on us, coming from every direction. Going down each ally way I ran into more and more whom seemed to be searching for me. They're catching up, I haven't the power to fight them off. Quickly I found myself and scarlette to be pinned down against a wall watching soldiers come closer and closer.
Putting down Scarlette, I looked to her and hugged her quickly. "Everything will be okay, stay behind me I will Not let them get to you" She did just that as I unsheathed my weapons again and the rushed me. One, two, four, seven, ten, the numbers of death mattered not. As they kept coming I began to feel my body getting weaker. With a quick thought I sent a light energy slash across the front. Many fell from it and were pushed back. Quickly I held my sword up and launched a light flare in the sky for Aeon to see. They were rushing me again, I put up barrier over us. Channeling it I was not sure how long I could hold out.
Looking around I could hear mechanisms moving around to the sides. I looked to see what looked like cannons. They mean to break through my barrier at any chance they can. Cling cling of bullets hitting right where my head is to the barrier. Several shots being fired left and right trying to break through. I heard the cannons begin to channel as they quickly launched 2 beams of energy at the barrier.
Feeling my strength fade further and further I held to my firm belief for help. Tis not enough, I'm going to lose it. "Aeon my love I hope you're alright." "Mummy?" Scarlette looked up to me with worry. My attention turned as I witnessed the barrier begin to crack all around. Before I could give more power to it the cracks were everywhere. No time to think, only to act. Channeling the energy within I exploded the barrier and launched it's shards as weapons creating a massive explosion killing several.

I heard the click first and then felt it. Stopping unable to react to what just happened I felt my stomach to feel blood. Then it hit me, I've been shot. The pain began and I fell to my knees. "Guhh..." I tasted blood and then quickly spat it out. My eyes widened when I realized I haven't heard Scarlettes voice! "Scarlette!? SCARLETTE!?" Looking behind me I found her unconscious. Feeling around her I found her chest had been penetrated by a bullet as well. "No... Gods no" Her light was fading, I closed my eyes and opened them quickly as I looked around to see with my own eyes once more. I was now in echo stasis.
Looking down, I saw my daughter, for the first time with my own eyes. Tears fell from my face. "Gods you are so beautiful" Holding her close I felt my tears pour out "Please live! PLEASE!" begging her as if it would make a difference. "My Daughter of Light" the all to familiar voice of Hydaelyn filled my mind. The mother crystal appeared before me. "thou hast been hurt deeply. However you can be healed, you can live on." "No" I stated towards her. "No, Everything I have done is for my daughter. Please Hydaelyn save her give her life!" "I can not intervene for her, she is not my chosen warrior." My tears continued as I looked to the mother crystal unable to beg any further. "What can I do? I'll not let her die!" "You may do as you wish my daughter, Should you sacrifice your power to save her life she may live. However your life force shall remain with me." "Remain? what do you mean?" "Thou shall not be released from my will, you will remain as a specter helping watch over the world." "Then, one way or another, I do not get to live with my daughter?" Tears fell from my eyes as I already knew the answer. "Yes, but you can watch over her."
My eyes radiated pure white energy as I felt aetherial light energy wings appear on my back. "You have a long life ahead of you my lovely baby girl" Tears falling as I channeled the wings of energy into my daughter. Her body healed. As I felt the last bit of energy leave my body. I held her close awaiting my fall draw of breath. "Scarlette Mummy always loves you"
An explosion behind me, a man fighting all around. Aeon, you've arrived..


"Grahhhhh!!!" I leaped to the ground and sent several chains. Exploding them and causing much to die instantly. Looking behind me quickly I stopped to see my love holding my daughter... and she was bleeding! "Sophia..?" I approached hesitantly "No.... no no no no Gods have mercy!" As I touched her shoulder she looked up to me slowly and smiled "I'll always love you....Aeon..." My heart sank as I witness her body disappear into the aether. "NOOOOOO!!!!!!! You were the only person...." Falling to my kneels I looked upon my daughter and tried to touch her. "Grahh!" my hand was rejected, she was being protected. Looking down I felt tears flee me as my body began to give in to my own power. "You, are all that matters now." From behind I could hear more soldiers approaching. I stood up to meet them. "Kill him! Take that bastard down!" Slowly I turned around, the bullets being shot towards me dissolved before they could even hit. My body was changing, rapidly, my fight for power is now over. They've taken all that mattered to me. Demonic wings appeared on my back, my body changing colors black and red. In my last thoughts I said out loud, "She claimed I was no monster" Bringing my blade forth I smiled with glee. "I am Chaos, I am beyond a monster."


"Well this is a fine mess, half the bloody city was nearly destroyed" "Apologies Legatus Baelsar, we did our best to contain the situation, however the Eikon user was apparently to much for our forces. He got away my lord" I sighed with grief, failures the lot of them. All the while my mind went back to the dragons destroying the Agrius war ship. These Eikons must be put an end to if we are to claim Eorzea. "We have a few survivors my liege. A young girl among them, she was thought to be injured but thus far we've seen no damage" "Take the girl for experimentation, I want to know more about these... Espers."


"Subject 0, an Esper class humanoid, Code Named Eidolon. Subject has been infused with the strange essence we found at the crash site of the Agrius. Her body seemed to adapt to it almost immediately! Where I thought it would kill her, instead so much of her has been adapted. Further experiments are required, however it seems the essence destroyed her memories as well. What a shame, but none the less perhaps that is for the best given the circumstances. As we learn more on how to Control the power of Eikons I look forward to utilizing this young girl to help our cause for more powerful weapons. Further briefing later, Midas Garlond"




As light fades, Darkness overcomes, however as long as one light shines you will never lose your way. Let the light shine and guide you.
