よー！I haven't posted anything regarding my own experience in a while so I thought I'd write something more akin to that. And this time, to sate both Japanese and English speakers!
せっかく2か国語も使えるわけだし、英語圏、日本語圏の方々でも読んで楽しい日記を一回作ってみたいと思います！
First and foremost, give me a bit to introduce myself.
まずは、ちょっとした自己紹介をさせてもらいます
IGN Ogata Joumon
(Psst, My name has a little joke in there... see if you can get it. I'll give ya a hint. "O" in kanji is written with 緒 which can be read as "Jo" :v)
(ちなみに、名前を漢字で書くと「緒方 丈文」となる。お判りいただけるでしょうかね？ｗ)I started FF14 with a PC clan where we played R6:siege intensively, and in dire need of a breather. Though, at the time I was still a poor student with not a dime to pay my own food so I couldn't continue with FF14.
FF14は、数人の友だちとフリートライアルでやり始めたのです。あれは別名のキャラでなんですが、あの時は一文無しの学生でお金もないわけで続かなかった。
Fast forward to last year, when I started working, I rebooted the game with a fatter wallet, and boy I started to enjoy the MMO experience for the month, playing the game every day after work.
そして月日が流れて、去年に至る。給料がもらえるようになってまたFF14を再開、そしてMMOの体験を楽しみ、ドはまりすることになった。
I soloed half of the ARR content, and it was a blast looking through what the game had to offer, and the little details in the story that put a smile on me hardened grimace.
新生のキャンペーンを基本的にソロで進めましたが、初めてしっかりMMOをやってるせいか、何もかも新鮮に感じた。コンテンツ、FATE、クラフティング、とにかく楽しかった。
But as the month began to pass, I thought of joining a Free Company, as the clan I was in disbanded after I joined the workforce.
月が過ぎようとしているときに、長くやりたいし、FCでも入ろう！と考えた私がいたけど、
However
しかしながら
It was not meant to be.
どうやらまだその時ではなかったのだ。
So again, I put the game down as I continued to adjust to new life,
そんで、新生活にもうちょっとちゃんと整理できるようにするために、リアルのほうを優先するようになったのです。
And with the coming of May of this year, Golden Week knocked on the door, though with sad news the world had only ever told in history books.
今年の五月が訪れる時期になりました。それまではコロナという悲しい事情が全世界を襲い掛かり、家で腐ることになりました ハ↑ハ↑ハ↑
So I was stuck at home... which meant

I had all the time in the world
ならばどうするのかと？そりゃ自粛してゲームしまくりよ
A year had passed since I last touch the game and to be frank, I've only played on and off a month a time. So I was lost and this time, really lost because I logged in with a character in progress at level 40
しかしながら、一年やってなかったためリハビリが必要な状態に、今回はキャラがレベル40で、まあ何をしていたのかなぁってなるような状態に。
I was a little lost
いやぁ、開幕して迷子とは笑えるぜ☆
and then, an elezen came up to me, jumping around for my attention.
フィールドで迷子やってたら、いつの間にかエレゼン族の人にナンパ(笑)された。

単純に一緒に遊んでくれる人を募集しているようで、LinkShellに招待されました。

もうお嫁にいけない…Excuse my tangent. To put the story in simple terms from there, the elezen invited me into their group's linkshell. the name of the LS is as written in the japanese text above; MAN GATAROU.
quick disclaimer; google the name at your own risk. I may never unsee what resulted of my googling the name lolそんな出会いから、小さなFCとの冒険をする日々が始まることとなった。
Nonetheless, this would mark my meeting with my current FC, and the start of our little adventures through Eorzea.
新生エオルゼアのクエストをこなして時にFCハウスでわいわい楽しみ、
時に蛮神討伐を一緒にクリアし、
時にただただ笑いあう
I'm certain this new meeting would be something I'll cherish for a long while coming.
and this very thing made me realise why MMOs are so much fun.
it ain't just the adventures.
だからこそMMOは楽しい。
The people you meet are also a huge piece of the content.
