コミュニティファインダーにようこそ！

8th Umbral Calamity (BANE) is a slowly growing, relaxed social FC for working adults, unemployed adults, newer players, returners, and generally anyone just looking for a nice group of people to hang out with! We’re 31 players and 1 honourary member at the moment, with the rest being alts, and we’ve got a lovely mix of LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent peeps! ♥

About half of us are either still pretty new to the game or playing on smaller/alt characters at the moment, so there’s absolutely no pressure to know everything or be super far into the game already. If you’ve already got a big character and/or you’re looking to make a new character to play with us part-time, you’re more than welcome too!

And if you already have a well-established character and have absolutely no interest in making an alt, that is completely fine too! You do not need to “start fresh” to fit in with us. If you’re further along in the game and just want a social FC to chat with, run content with, help people out, or drag the rest of us into increasingly questionable ideas, you’re very welcome!!!

Already in an FC and don’t want to leave because of submarine stuff, housing, a static, a small active group, or anything similar? You’re also more than welcome to join hands with us as an “honorary member” and come along to socialise and take part in events! ♥

We’re mostly active in the evenings, though lots of days you’ll usually find a few of us sitting in voice chat for a good chunk of the day too. We’re slowly building up a cosy little social group for roulettes, maps, raids, hide-and-seek in the company house, Gold Saucer events, fashion contests, and whatever other nonsense we come up with!

We run events every Wednesday and Sunday evening, and we vote for the following week’s events on Sunday so everyone gets a say in what we’re doing. We do the same event twice in a row to make sure everyone will get to participate"

We also have a small house in Ishgard, fully decorated with plenty of rooms! I’m more than happy to give you the gil for a room too if need be. And we’re currently fishing for a LARGE house!!! ♥

I’m also not going to slap “DRAMA-FREE” in the bio and tempt fate, because that always seems to age beautifully. We’re all adults, so disagreements and misunderstandings can happen. What I can promise is that we’ll always try our best to listen, be understanding, communicate properly, and resolve issues amicably and like adults whenever possible.

(Most of us are huuuuge DnD nerds, so please join us if you’re into it. We are genuinely desperate to talk about D&D, or honestly any other roleplaying TTRPGs, haha.)
