[重要]Release Date of the 64-bit Client for Mac®
As mentioned on Apr. 19, 2019, support for the Mac 32-bit version of FINAL FANTASY XIV will end with the start of service for the FINAL FANTASY XIV: Shadowbringers expansion scheduled for Jul. 2, 2019 (this includes early access, which is scheduled to start on Jun. 28, 2019), and a switch will be made to the 64-bit version.
■Beta version of the Mac 64-bit client has been cancelled
We previously announced a beta version for the 64-bit client. Unfortunately, a problem was discovered in the 64-bit client while the final adjustments to performance were being made, and we prioritised correcting this. Due to this, the beta version of the client has been cancelled, and the release of the official client will be prioritised instead.
We apologise to all those who were considering using the beta version of the client, but we ask that you wait for the release of the official client.
■Release date of the official client for the Mac 64-bit version
The official client for the Mac 64-bit version will be available for download before early access on Jun. 27, 2019. A webpage for downloading it will be opened on Jun. 27, 2019, so please download the client from there and follow the steps on the download page to install it.
We will announce the URL for the download page on the day that it opens.
■Preparation for release of the official client for the Mac 64-bit version
▽Please make sure to have enough space on your hard disk.
The client for the Mac 64-bit version and the 32-bit version are different, so when starting up the client for the Mac 64-bit version for the first time, an update will take place based on the play licenses owned. Please have enough space on your hard disk for this installation that is separate from the 32-bit version.
As a point of reference, a client that has up to FINAL FANTASY XIV: Stormblood installed will use around 40 GB. Additionally, the update for FINAL FANTASY XIV: Shadowbringers is estimated to require a few GB as well.
*As of Jun. 27, 2019, FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn, FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward, and FINAL FANTASY XIV: Stormblood will be available for download. FINAL FANTASY XIV: Shadowbringers will be available for download at the same time as the Windows® version.
▽ Please make a backup of configuration data beforehand.
Configurations for the Mac 32-bit version application will not automatically be transferred to the Mac 64-bit version application. Configurations will need to be transferred manually, so please make a backup using the server backup function beforehand.
