So I'm venting a bit I'll admit that. See I'll be the first to admit I'm not the best tank seeing as how I just got my first tank but...why is all I have to ask.
So I've noticed a trend of people skipping mechanics...I find it weird but whatever not a big deal for me. I'd rather you do them but if it works out then whatever.
However, when you choose not to do a mechanic when there is logically no reason to...it just seems just...why? To me. So Halatali, not hard by any means but I found myself asking...why today. So we are in the final boss room I'm sure most of you are familiar with it so we get to the part where the wisps start traveling towards the boss, you know you're supposed to kill them before they get there to avoid the wave damage right? So tell me why the healer tells everyone to ignore them and keep attacking the boss while he heals through?
Now don't misunderstand me, him healing through isn't my issue, it seems unnecessary and I'll tell you why this whole tactic was stupid...the boss is invulnerable during this time...you literally cannot hurt him during this phase so why are we skipping a mechanic to waste moves on something we cannot hurt to take damage we don't have to take? Like I said I can deal with skipping a mechanic if there is at least some logic to it. For example, Satasha, if you focus on the boss you can manage to kill him before adds pop. Haukke Manor even if you skip the void lamps you can at the very least still do damage to the boss so healing through makes some sort of sense. As I said I would rather you did the mechanics but if there is at least some sort of logic or pay off to skipping them, cool no big deal, but here we are literally attacking for the sake of attacking and taking damage we don't have to take, you are wasting mana on heals you don't have to do...for what reason? There is no payoff or logic to this that I can see, maybe I'm missing something? Would anyone care to explain it to me?
He is only invulnerable until you kill the three sprites. The wisps don't affect his invulnerability. The fight is faster to ignore the wisps, and the aoe damage they cause is negligible.
See, this would make sense and I could totally go for that, because that would make sense...if anyone was attacking the sprites...but they were not, which again I ask...why?
