When a renaming license is set onto a character, its name will have to be changed upon the next login. However, in order to prevent server outages, there is a certain time window within which character names cannot be updated because said servers are experiencing heavy load.

Since the start of the Endwalker early access, servers have almost continuously been burdened with congestion due to heavy access. As a result, it is feared that there will be longer periods of time during which character name changes cannot occur. Therefore, we will be temporarily suspending the Character Renaming Service.

We will notify you again once a reopening date of the service has been determined.
