The free login period is about to end for me again, but it is fine for me.
I achieved some planned things and some unplanned.
I cleared the new 24 man as I wrote before. I think in the lvl 70 24 man cycle it is the second raid I like the most. Some maths and Yiazmats screams in agony make it feel great to me. On lvl 50 it was clearly WoD and on 60 Wiping City.
The story felt like it ended very abruptly to me but I don't mind, it does as it intends hook me for the upcoming expansion. I am looking forward to a darker theme, because Stormblood mostly felt for me not very interesting storywise.
Clearing Seiryu EX oddly took me longer than Suzaku back then. Suzaku I had cleared in 2 and a half lockout with PF while Seiryu took about 4 lookouts. Oddly I had seen enrage in my first lockout, then the issue was just getting ppl with some knowledge of their class and a bit raidawareness... had to get a 6 man premade for it.
Also finished both events with all (personally interesting) rewards.
The unplanned stuff started with a random attempt on the Great Hunt with the clear. Not that the fight is too hard, just unfair.
And the randomness took a climax when I logged in on sunday to play a bit before family came over, just to get Lillynapped to O11S. Considering my xp was before one pull and not having watched a guide... to get to 8% after I wiped 'em a lot was decent. At least for my understanding. On top I was trying to regain my DRG muscle memory. I assume without knowing the boss timings much myself my dps was probably shit because when I was told "go to a" etc I lost likely a lot uptime... whatever - it was fun ^^
Now all I have left to do is levelling my alt even more (crafters) over on Light and get him the remaining event rewards. I happily achieved the Regalia there from having 15k MGP just a day before so the last 30k shouldn't be to hard to get.
Looking forward to (fully) joining back into the game in June or so, but also glad I can enjoy my break from the game some more. It may sound weird but I am sure starting a sub now would be entirely wrong and just make the old feelings of exhaustion with the game come up again.
