A former member of the Alcedea Crafters Guild, Jenis became involved with the happenings of the Battle of Carteneau through sheer coincidence. After the Calamity hit, he swore never to become involved with adventuring or Grand Company business again, settling down in Ul'dah with his bodyguard-turned-wife, Anastasha (Tasha) Kalfas.
Despite Jenis' desire for a peaceful retirement from adventuring, he's finding himself becoming involved with the new guild led by Rathe... not that he'll ever admit that he's willingly lending his skills to guildmembers old and new.
