After the Garleans attacked our village in Ala Mhigo, We attempted an escape towards the Grand City of Ul'Dah. Father's old apprentice, Severian, awaited our arrival.
En Route, a band of Amalj'aa ambushed our Envoy. Father instructed me to lead the rest of the convoy while he and the other men were to fend off the attackers. All proved to be in vain. Their reinforcements attacked us head on. I stood forward, but could not withstand the heat of their Cavalry Drake. My last memories were of my Father, running back towards me, Only to be impaled by their savage spears.
When I came to, a Female Flame Lieutenant was addressing my wounds. When she placed her hand on my head, I witnessed a vision, one which featured her, Only smaller. On his daily routes he caught a beast trying to steal a number of crystals from the mines. Only to be torched alive. I looked up at her, and understood what I am to do.
It's been six years since that moment Grandfather. I've ventured this deathly continent of Eorzea. I've crossed mountains of scorching hot sand, Sailed the seas of Limsa Lominsa, Hunted through the forests of Gridania. I've fought Dragons, Magitek Machines, and Beastmen of many shapes and sizes. With the friends that I've met, I've even pushed back against the power of gods.
I know it is not within our blood to Adventure so far, to threaten our lineage near the abyss of treacherous waters. I have not opened a branch of the Murasaki Apothecary. Nor do I intend to. Though I have inherited Father's Gifts of Medicine, I feel more inclined to pursue the Happiness of Culinary Arts.
Do not fret though, I have been keeping up with my studies in the Medicinal and Aetherial Arts. Severian has even suggested I be his successor. I have no intentions of leading a Guild though, all that paperwork...
