The other problem is the fact that half the people that get online are AFK or gold farmers they need to put limits to how long you can go AFK I stayed logged in for 2 hours last night when I passed out at my PC

Forgot the fact that most of the world that lacks servers of their own will gravitate to NA and EU.
I'm pretty sure SE underestimated how many from Europe that would actually play, probably why they are having issues with congestion already now in the early access.

well I got kicked out of queue they should just give us the option to move characters to low pop servers this way people can still enjoy the game on the toon they wanna play

Hard to know currently, but the original Pre-ARR game sold 630,000 copies worldwide (aprox as of sep.2011) and of those 190k were in Japan.
