Hello! It has been a year since I've played the game. When I left, diremite web was the best way to make tens of thousands of gil. Apparently that has changed.
Does anybody know what tends to sell the best on the Siren server or in general? I'm a level 50 botanist too, if that matters.

Hard to say. If you get HW and get your botanist to 60 then the new raw materials are selling for quite a lot. The old stuff will still sell, but the market has been greatly reduced.
I'm also a level 50 Botanist, and as far as I can tell, the market fluctuates a lot. Something could be worth a lot one day and be worthless the next. I haven't been able to make heads or tails of it so far yet.
If you get your Carpenter up that will help as well. Finished lumber always sells for way more than the logs.
