It was so frail. Slow and stuttered. It reached the point where it became impossible not to notice, the titular pitch in her voice, the emotion rushing through her as she struggled picked her words. As if she had to strain herself atop staircases of mounds to reach the apples of a fruiting tree and stave her hunger.
"I didn't mean to hurt her. I did everything for her. Every single, passing moon. Every fire cast unto the dry wood. I would cast away the Guild's Ring in a heartbeat. But now it's too late. She's gone, she's gone."
She would take a sudden turn for the worse and spent what energy and breath she had left. She drove herself into a dismal fluster. It was too late.
16th Sun of the Sixth Astral Moon (11/16-2022-)
There's a soft breeze blowing in from the South Shroud. It's apparent from the winds carrying with it the oxidized odor of the extracted ores from Quarrymill, if not the tinges of Aether infused with shadow and disdain for morrow. The latest carriage to Gridania, chosen with utmost haste, and with little regard for amenities and consequences.
"CHOCOBO'S!!"
Bursting with adoration of the creature. A most gorgeous resident of the star, with a collage of golden fans dashing across all of its faces and corners. They are a miracle of life to her. There wasn't anything here that wasn't. This Lalafell chose to adorn herself with the brightest possible smile that Eorzea will have ever seen.
"And... whole new lands... bustling places. Artisans, Bands, lesser dreams blooming atop the ideas we deem most grand. I feel it here. It's teeming with so much more."
Can things change if she puts on this newborn smile of hers, she wondered? It was unlike any face she had worn before. Would the strands slide off willingly, or someone or something would be the force necessary to reveal it to her? A journey had begun here, just like they all do, without much significance to anyone, anywhere. But with this one, willing adventurer. Perhaps. Maybe.
