Pirate captain Lune Fox finds a dead body of a young lady near the shores of Limsa Lominsa. Upon investigating her identity, his crew learns that the body belongs to a white mage known to everyone as Alisa Arkwright.
"What could've happen'd to 'dat lass?", the captain asks.
Suddenly, a strange glow starts emitting from Alisa's body, and a bright ball of light slowly raises above. Then it stops, and after a moment quickly enters Lune's chest with a loud, sweeping sound...
" 'tis be 'er memories, eh? Ye' be kiddin' me right?"
Just in few seconds Lune learns everything about Alisa's life - her family, friends and all knowledge she possessed when she was alive. A fainting voice is heard, saying "Please... you must be the next Warrior of Light! Help Alisa finish what she... couldn't... The world's safety... is now only in your hands..."
Lune Fox shakes his head as if trying to come back to senses.
Then one pirate of his crew comes with a wet book in his hands. "Look, I found this right there lying on the sand! Could it be her diary?"
"Lemme see...", Fox replies. "...don't spy anythin' useful 'ere... barnacle-covered photos... a list of unknown lads sharin' dead girl's surname... and a page 'fer guests? 'tis quite some trash, I tell ye."
Even though he didn't take what happened seriously, young captain's life has started to change since that day...
