It was a long ride from San d'Oria to this far off land. A journey taken that offered freedom and new adventures. After leaving behind his post as the general of one of San d'Oria's esteemed legions, Gauln sought a new life away from all that he knew. A tidy sum was passed to a merchant that promised to keep Gauln's identity from being known aboard his vessel as they were to make a perilous journey. One where his kind isn't known as Elvaan, but an Elezen. After setting foot in this new land, he finds himself a bit uneasy not having those he knew by his side. But with hopeful heart, he sets out away from the burdens of duty to anyone but himself. From general to mercenary, a new chapter begins.
