Tom has accepted responsibility for his past and learned to control a deep darkness within him. At long last, he has located his missing daughter, and now travels with her to find the impossible: a cure for her mortality, something he's not sure exists. The search has led them high above Dravania, where hidden beast tribes may be able to unlock an age-old prophecy. And somewhere, deep in the Black Shroud, a hidden meadow stands empty, where the statues of four warriors have now quickened and left.
