Dear Journal
Today I arrived Ul’Dah by carriage. I must say that the people I was travelling with were certainly colourful. The first was a man who I discovered for all his pleasant front forwards demeanour happened to be smuggling drugs, and along with him were two very in active children who in retrospect I suspect he’d spiked and was transporting for some less than honourable cause.
All that said he was rather nice on the outside, he even gave me a ring and directions. I’m just slightly worried about the future implications of my carriage ride with him.
Any how I’m now in Ul’Dah, and upon recommendation I joined the Adventurers guild, seems to be run by a really rather nice Lalafell. She helped me out, gave me a short task which helped me learn the lay of the city and got me helping a number of people.
Same time I met the Thaumaturge guild and they helped me to hone my powers. I mean my last name’s Sparkweaver and all I could ever come close to weaving were balls of ice. Mom was less than impressed and if Dad had been alive Twelve rest his soul he’d have been even less so. But with the help of the rather eccentric guild leaders I managed to pick up the basics of both fire and lightning.
So now I’m just doing various small tasks for people, helping them out, and learning various bits of magic where I can. It’s gonna be a long road but I’m gonna keep it up.
