Lani is a Sharlayan scholar who studied zoology for five years, working as a gleaner in the meantime and helping to preserve species affected by the sudden changes in Coerthas after Dalamud's descent. After curiosity got the better of her and she joined an investigation into the mystery of the Crystal Tower, she decided to leave Sharlayan and become an adventurer herself.
