In her home land, Berry went by a name that today she'd much rather leave forgotten. Being that she was much more emotionally fragile than what most would assume of a Viera woman, her heart was broken by a girl that she fancied, who settled down with a man for a more traditional Viera marriage. Determined to mend her broken heart, Berry took on a new name, leaving behind her old Viera identity. Instead of pursuing a peaceful, quiet lifestyle, Berry's now only heard the call of adventure. She set out for Gridania, to join the archer's guild in hopes of one day learning the ways of the bard and becoming a patron of the arts, hoping to enrich her spirit through the arts of song and dance to restore her broken heart.
