Juu (Juudaime) is an alias he created when he eloped from Ishgard, at the young age of 16, to Gridania to live the life of his own ambitions and passions. Little did he know he would spend the next 3-4 years of his young life to achieve riches and burdens that your average sell-swords would stand aback in awe.
Proficient in many fields of war and magic, Juu prefers to fight with the bow, daggers, and rapier. His background as a lesser noble yielded practice and knowledge beyond the expectations of a traveling mercenary.
Juu is as young as he is naive, though he can be witty and sharp-tongued. He's spent most of his childhood out and about in the streets both causing mayhem with minor stealing and bringing smiles to youth and elders alike. He can be daft at times but its charming to his beloved friends in the Free Company: "Extra Thique". He may be cautious and observant but his heart is as pure and strong as mythril and wants nothing but justice and happiness for others. His greatest downfall his vulnerability to being overwhelmed both emotionally, mentally, and physically (in the battlefield). Nonetheless, his craft is definitely valued as it is quality.
Juu had recently heard of the mythical properties of fantasia. With the fresh wounds of his failures and short-comings made him want for strength to show on the outside instead of just the inside. He dearly wanted to appear strong as to shoulder the doubts and pains of the people who look up to him; thus he saw that his Keeper vessel wasn't enough to depict such features. He thought that if he looked strong, he truly would be strong. In his studies while at Ishgard, soon after he had learned of his true origins, he had dedicated much time and study to history and knowledge of the Far East with what education he was offered. He happened upon the legends of the Four Lords and was greatly inspired by the Legend of Tenzen. When he took the potion in hand, he thought of Byakko, and how he personified strength. And thus, he drank the phial and came to wake anew as a Hrothgar of the Lost.
