There I was, partying with a friend. We decided to do a dungeon. We get grouped with an astrologian and a lancer. This is my first time with an astrologian. We go into the first encounter. I take all the aggro and my friend deals damage as usual. The lancer seems pretty basic, but the astrologian just stands there. I pray that this is temporary. My friend tries to tell off the astrologian but before she can, we see the lancer rushing ahead. We continue into a side room and somebody marks the target. As if there were more than 2 enemies in the room. My friend gets a chance to tell off the astro. "You want nothing, I'll show you nothing" the astro responds. We continue on to fight the next enemy party. Things go as they should, however, the astro sustains me at about 15% health. I end up having to use the tank limit break just to survive. The lancer immediately tells me to save the limit break for dps. After the battle, the astro says, "Apoligize. Or do you want me to keep me that low?" I tell him to stop being a child and to heal properly. He responds with, "Only when you draw aggro better." Let me ask you this. If a player has no aggro on them, and they dodge every AOE, how do they die? Continuing on, the dungeon went pretty much the same as that battle. During one part I die and the two randos just keep going. My friend had to set raise to her additional skills and revive me. We keep going as essentally 2 separate parties until the boss. During which the astro didn't touch me and I died relatively quickly. I go to the restroom and upon returning the boss has been beaten. Think god, the others are gone. Acording to my friend, the astro decided to throw more mud after the boss.
Is your gear and weapon appropriate to your level? Were you holding good aggro at the start of the dungeon? If so don't concern yourself with what the healer is doing. If your not dying rotate cool downs and keep doing your thing. If you are doing everything YOU can do, ask them how are your pulls..too much? Adjust. If they continue to let you die kick them and move on. I've had awesome healers and garbage "battle mages". Most the time attitude isn't required and we work through the situation.
I once had something similar during a very early dungeon with a sch. I was on BRD and noticed that the SCH was on follow and not actively doing anything. I asked (to be sure the SCH wasn't afk) and the SCH laughed. "Eos is more than enough for this place (haukke manor). If things go suddenly south I promise I won't let anyone die, I just wanted to see how much Eos can do on her own."
I was like, "fair enough, Eos is OP" and the dungeon was smooth and there was no salt.
Regrettably, a large number of healers try to lord their position in the group; thankfully they can be easily replaced if I need to do it for any of my FC if they are leveling something
Trust me, her gear was the appropriate level. The astro was doing nothing until he went into his idle stance lol
