I am a big fan of this game and I play daily but I have no interest in joining a free company.
I main a warrior (lvl 80) and have not been connected to a free company since day 1.
Boy oh boy do you co-dependant free company fans have a problem with this.
Every fucking day at least a couple times I get a free company invite.
No thanks I reply or nope but now it's getting annoying.
As a warrior I have very little trouble getting into most duties with a bunch of randoms so I see no reason to join for access to "friends".
I am aware of the buffs one can have from being in a free company but ever since day 1 that just sounded like "join our clubhouse we have cookies" mentality.
In conclusion, free company invite spam is super annoying and besides blocking these co-dependant people it would be nice if there was a setting to turn these invites off.
I recommend you form your own free company or buy one and just have yourself in it. Then you can earn credit for your owns buffs and you will never get another invite ever again :)

Oh don't worry I am fully aware of what a free company can offer but none of it is appealing.
I used to hate when I forgot to turn on /busy and would get bombarded. There should be some sort of barrier for entry before someone can just spam you with trade requests and FC invites. It's unsolicited. Who joins a group just because they were worn down by other people? I remember saying no and someone got mad yelling wHaT aBoUt ThE cOmMuNiTy!?!?! FC community is "wb!" "thx" "wb!" "wb!" "thx" "Hey we need 10 million gil for the housing lottery!" "wb!" "wb!"
