Hilal is the son of a Mol man who leave the Azim Steppes after listening his destiny was understand the world around him and a Raen woman who lost everything after her parents death from illness; not feeling her path was marrying some stranger man chosen by her remaining family, she did ran away from her home and get to the outside unknown world. There in the middle of their adventure they found love in each other and so born Hilal Erkhan.
Had lived mostly of his childhood in a mercenary caravan that accepted his parents as part of their family and did grow up having contact with different type of people and races. Life was peaceful until the war started in Doma and Hilal had watch his family almost get slaughtered before his eyes, he lost in the storm of blood his mother and his home.
After surviving this trial, the ones who was still part of the caravan journeyed to Eorzea, trying start again in a new place. Hilal and his father go with them and then there he get a purpose: be stronger, be a warrior and protect these who he loves dearly, his family and friends.
