Kemiko Oyung is a Miqo'te born in Hyrstmill. Her parents are a Seeker of the Sun and a Keeper of the Moon, though she obviously takes heavily after the Seeker of the Sun side of her family.
She grew up very close to her father, X'Gihdein Oyung, who was a hunter for her family. He wasn't quite as strong as an adventurer delving into Dungeons and facing terrible odds for the benefit of others but he wasn't a pushover and could handle most local creatures with relative ease.
Her mother, Risaki Oyung, was very close to her but they were more so friends rather than mother and daughter. They had a rivalry between the two of them, even when Kemiko was quite young but the two loved each other as much as any mother and daughter would.
Kemiko adored and looked up to her father, following him whenever she could and practicing with a spear at each opportunity, her father's weapon of choice.
As fate would have it, X'Gihdein was slain by an Asipatra during one of his hunts. Kemiko found his body after she went looking for him when he didn't return for half a sun cycle. She collected his spear and never let another soul take it from her and it quickly became her weapon of choice as well as a keepsake for most of her childhood.
Later during her life her brother, Ushukuma Oyung, left to develop his ability in the art of magicks, leaving Kemiko alone with her mother. The two eventually gained distant communication with Ushukuma, mostly in the form of letters.
When Kemiko was old enough to adventure out on her own she did without a moment's notice, leaving her widowed mother behind with her Spear in hand. She couldn't bare the thought of someone else experiencing what she did and made it her personal goal to help as many people as she could in various forms. Particularly performing dangerous jobs, putting herself in harms way before anyone else and reducing the numbers of notorious creatures such as the Asipatra.
